Eight impressive light artworks will be presented within the first sea edition of the festival for digital art LUNAR. In the days between 1 and 4 August, the cultural event will illuminate four resorts on the Southern Black Sea coast. Especially for its summer edition, the festival will transform with digital art not only the urban environment, but also some of the most fascinating natural attractions located on the Black Sea coast. LUNAR: Sea of Lights is organized by Tsarevo Municipality and MP-STUDIO and will be completely free of charge on each of the four evenings, from Friday to Monday (inclusive), between 9:00 pm and midnight.
Video mapping shows, digital installations and interactive light works will enrich the summer holiday memories of all visitors. One of the favourite Black Sea resorts, Lozenets, will be transformed by the LUNAR: Sea of Lights programme. The park in the settlement will be seen by visitors in a completely new light thanks to four light installations. A complete light and sound experience can be evoked by 15 festival guests through the installation ImPULSE. The interactive piece, created by Swedish artist Filip Jakobsson and Bulgarian MP-STUDIO, will make your heart beat louder than ever.
Another work by the talented artist, who works skillfully with wood, will be the work Introspection, which invites viewers to look within themselves and discover their full potential.

During the four festival evenings, two holographic light installations will await visitors to Lozenets Park. With their ever-changing futuristic look, the works will give a new, fantastic atmosphere to the environment in which they are located.
One of the highlights of the event will be the video mapping show “Riding the Same Wave”, which will transform the facade of the Community Centre “Georgi Kondolov” in Tsarevo. The show will be presented in two different versions and will aim to “reprogram” the audience into holiday mode and invite them to enjoy the shared summer moments.
Heading south, the audience will also reach the Ahtopol beach. A captivating video mapping show created by Chinese artist Ruan Ye Lai will illuminate the coast and the sea, inviting viewers to feel the pulse of nature.
The peculiar light route will also take visitors to one of the most beautiful coastal formations – the rocks “The Stone Ships”, in Sinemorets, to pay tribute to the incredible beauty of the planet. The natural spectacle will tell the story of two souls – once one – now separated by time and space but irresistibly drawn to each other.
The organizers have prepared a special surprise for all visitors – the light installation “Moon Night”, which is a symbol of the festival, will swim across the seashore. Each night, the moon will be located at a different point along the coast (leaving from Lozenets on August 1 to arrive in Sinemorets on August 4) to inspire the audience to enjoy the extraordinary summer nights illuminated by light art.
The organizer and main artistic team behind the project is the Bulgarian visual effects studio MP-STUDIO.
