Vladimir Grancharov is a designer and co-founder of Elektrick.Me – a studio specialized in 3D projection mapping. He graduated in engineering design at the Technical University of Sofia.
His passion for innovation and functionality design lead it in the path of multimedia technologies. Sam defines himself as a “generalist and holds extremely high on diversity in the activities in which it is engaged. This is one of the main reasons in his personal portfolio as well and in that of Elektrick.Me, to see 3D mapping, holograms and scenography to graphic and product design.
The road to multimedia technology begins back in his teens, when with friends he organizes “rave” parties, but always with great attention and passion for decors and VJ installations. During this period, between 2004 and 2010, together with his colleagues created conceptual concepts and realize some of the first 3D mapping installations in Bulgaria.
At the same time, Vladimir upgraded his training as a designer. In 2010 internship in the German car company BRABUS, where he has tuning elements for some Mercedes-Benz models, as well as one rim model. The experience he gained in these years continued as professional realization in the field of multimedia and interactive technologies such as 3D Mapping, holograms, AR, VR and motion capture.
Since its establishment in 2011 until now Elektrick.Me has implemented projects with 3D Mapping for numerous emblematic buildings in Bulgaria and around the world – Sofia, Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Vratsa, Troyan, Nessebar, Technical University of Almaty, Kazakhstan, the palace Tsaritsyno in Moscow.
Studio’s portfolio contains multimedia scenography for the The Voice of Bulgaria, Bulgaria is Looking for Talent, the children’s Eurovision, as well as for the royal family in Kuwait.
For the last 10 years they have implemented over 200 projects, some of which are global brands such as Mercedes, Intel, Prosche, Land Rover, VW, Scania, Forbes, ING Bank, LIDL, JCDecaux, W Hotel, Coca-Cola and many more.
