Competition: Create an Artwork for the Façade of the National Palace of Culture

The Competition “eXperience by eMAG. Dream, create and inspire” Gives an Opportunity to Three Artists to See Their Artwork on One of The Most Popular Buildings in Sofia

eMAG joins LUNAR in a memorable way – by giving a chance to three artists to show their artworks on the façade of one of the most iconic buildings in the capital – National Palace of Culture.

In support of Bulgarian talents and the opportunities that modern technologies provide not only for business development, but also for art and urban environment, eMAG organizes the competition eXperience by eMAG: Dream, Create and Inspire. Until April 25, 2022, all interested artists can submit their artworks for the light transformation of the National Palace of Culture. Three will be the artworks that will be awarded – they should combine creativity, evoke emotions, tell stories and demonstrate skillful handling of the building facade and capabilities of the 3D mapping technology.

The three topics of the competition are:

• eMotions – creative input on topics emotions, innovation, new opportunities
• eXplore – creative input on topic searching (literally or figuratively) and that finding “your thing” has never been easier, having in mind diversity, choice, functionalities
• eFuture – creative input on topics technologies as part of everyday life and innovations, which make dreams come true – modernity, urban environment, technologies, green innovations and social responsibility, education

With their artworks for one of the most famous landmarks in Sofia, the authors will have the opportunity to show their creativity and interpretation on one of these topics. They will be able  to impress the citizens and guests of the capital with their imagination and the way they have developed the topic.

Each artist can participate in more than one category, and eMAG provides special prizes for the three winners -Apple iPad Air 4 (2020), 10.9″, 64GB, Wi-Fi + Apple Pencil.

The deadline for application is April 25, 2022 *. The artworks will be judged by a five-member jury, and the winners will be announced on April 29, 2022.

*Artworks submitted after the deadline will be disqualified.

Participation in the competition is free of charge. One winner will be chosen in each of the categories.
