Background

The names of the three winners of the second international video mapping contest in Bulgaria are now known.

The contest “Myths and Legends” was organized by MP-STUDIO, with the institutional support of the Ministry of Tourism, as part of the third edition of the LUNAR Festival of Lights.

Artists from all over the world had the opportunity to be part of an artistic encounter of mythical and folkloric elements from distant cultures, showing the richness of peoples’ imagination since antiquity, with a between 90-120-second 3D video mapping show projected on the façade of the Regional History Museum – Sofia.

Twenty-nine participants, from 18 countries, entered the competition, and the works of seven finalists transformed the façade of the museum, between 9-12 May. Some of the most interesting and enigmatic stories came together to celebrate cultural richness and diversity.

The three competition winners are:

1st place: The Fox, The Folks, with the show RWA Bienda: Dualism

2nd place: Clockwork, with the show Ragnarok

3rd place: Story of Karana, with the show MURUP

The winners were selected by a five-member international jury:
