The creation of 3D mapping, exciting animations, music through artificial intelligence, and the art of night photography will be just part of the topics of the program
Leading Bulgarian and international specialists will take part in trainings for young talents on May 7 and 8, 2022, at Hyatt Regency Sofia (Vasil Levski Square). The seminars will be aimed at acquiring new knowledge and skills in the field of high-tech audio-visual arts. They will be part of the educational program of the first LUNAR Festival of Lights in Sofia and will be completely free for participants. Registration is required.
Within two days, the specialists will share their knowledge and key aspects from the creation to the shooting of light art. Jonas Pilz from the leading software company for multimedia production Maxon will arrive from Germany especially for the trainings. He will hold a practical session for beginners and a Masterclass on Cinema 4D, in which he will share the secrets of creating fascinating animations.
More about projection mapping and basic knowledge of the used technique and the creation of projections for stages, buildings and interiors, participants will learn during two seminars led by specialists Marin Petkov and Marin Dimitrov from MP-STUDIO and Vladimir Grancharov from Elektrick.Me.
Selected author’s projects and creative solutions will be presented by the visual artist Petko Tanchev during his lecture “Space and Interaction: Interactive Technologies in Digital Art”. He will focus on programming custom software systems to build interaction between performers, the environment and the audience.
Music is an integral part of creating influential visual productions. The composer Georgi Georgiev – Maikata, from maxundmoritz productions, will share about its composition and what is the role of artificial intelligence in its creation. He will share his knowledge, reveal the latest trends in music production and how composers today can create music anywhere – using their computer, web browser and even a phone or tablet.
The program will provide an opportunity for young people who want to have professional development in photography, to learn how to take breathtaking shots at night. Photographer Nikolay Pandev will present the theme “Photography under the stars” with the support of Canon, and then will challenge participants to put into practice what they have learned in the city transformed by LUNAR.
The LUNAR Festival of Lights will take place between May 6-9, and part of it will be 13 of the most iconic locations in the capital. The event is realized with the support of the European Parliament in Bulgaria and the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria, Sofia Municipality and under the patronage of the Chairman of the Sofia Municipal Council Georgi Georgiev.
